The finest Chinese Peridot is on display in this classy ring. Big, lively, bright 7x10mm (2.70 carat) mixed-cut oval genuine Peridot. A lovely specimen; some of the very best natural Peridot in the world, like this beauty, comes from China. The color is a strong, typical Peridot, very bright, eye-popping GRASSY/SPRINGTIME LIME GREEN with good YELLOW undertones, strong to intense color saturation and great flashes of bright plugged-in neon brilliance. A very clean, clear, well-cut beautiful, natural, untreated gemstone with absolutely superb color, in an elite ring of simple design yet stunning presentation.
Mixed-cut oval gemstones have much more sparkle than regular oval cuts, because they have many more facets to reflect sparkle back to you. The gem cutter gives the gem a standard oval brilliant-cut, and adds a step-cut. This extra cut results in more than double the facets and the refraction, and increases the amount of light and sparkle the gemstone can absorb and reflect back out to dazzle the viewer.
Flanked on each side by one sparkling little clean round brilliant-cut bright Diamond (.02 carats total, approx.). This split-shank ring is elegant simplicity, whispering 'class'.
