The 14x10mm oval sparkling intensely saturated checkerboard-cut genuine Topaz gemstone in this slide/pendant is strongly lotus-blossom color: a richly strong to intense PINKISH ORANGE Lotus Blossom color, which is very similar to the color of a high quality Padparadscha Sapphire (the rarest and most costly of all the natural gemstones in the Sapphire family). This intensely rich Padparadscha-colored Topaz, like most all other Topaz (except for the Blue and Pink and the very few natural Imperials) is genuine mined-from-the earth Topaz which has been treated by coating a clear Topaz gemstone with a vapor deposition (of either gold, silver, platinum, titanium, etc.). Such treatment is a very common and long accepted practice in the jewelry trade, to achieve many of the more exotic, new colors of Topaz. This vapor deposition should have no effect on the beauty or longevity of your gemstone with normal wear and care (wash it with warm, not hot, soapy water and rinse with clear water and possibly a very soft (infant) toothbrush once in awhile). We do not ever recommend the use of steam, ionic or ultrasound cleaners on any gemstone, not even Diamonds. All gemstone weights are approximate (some may weigh more but none will weigh less).
