About Us
We specialize in the finest quality, high-end solid White Gold jewelry, mostly rings, at prices way below retail (often also well below wholesale prices). Most of our items are 14K gold, some are 18K, and a few are 10K; we specify the gold, and the type of finish on each item (and the gram weight). Once in awhile we offer an item in Yellow Gold, Rose Gold or Two-tone Gold, but the vast majority of our items are in solid White Gold. Our ring bands are solid gold, not hollow, not plated. We specialize in colored (fancy) gemstones accented with Diamonds. A few are Diamond items without colored gems, but our true passion is for genuine, natural earth mined fancy colored gemstones. We always prefer untreated gemstones of all kinds whenever those are available, although some gems are routinely treated with slight heat to enhance their color (such as Tanzanites, most all Blue Topaz and Pink Topaz, most Blue Diamonds and Black Diamonds are usually treated with irradiation); such treatments are common expected industry standard. The majority of our rings can be sized up or down. For those rings that cannot be sized, we state so, in our description. If you need a smaller ring than we have, we have ring guard inserts available at no cost.
MOLDAVITE: We specialize in genuine Moldavite from the Moldau region, the world's only source of genuine Moldavite. There is plenty of fake Moldavite offered on eBay, much of it green bottle glass tumbled with rocks to create scratches to give the appearance of genuine Moldavite. They are not able, however, to place the typical small Moldavite "gas or air" bubbles inside. Some Sellers are offering pretty kelly-green stones which they claim to be "African Moldavite". Genuine Moldavite (a tektite) never comes from Africa: it is found only from the Moldau region around the former Czchechoslovakia. When it comes to Moldavite: Caveat Emptor, or 'Buyer beware'.
We seek out jewelry bargains from various sources, and offer them at a great price, lower than you'd pay retail for the same item. We have numerous jewelry items featuring rare gems, collectors' gems and museum size gems, and exotic one-of-a-kind items which are unlikely to be found elsewhere, or seldom seen in excellent faceted gemmy form set into fine jewelry. We also offer a small assortment of extra affordable items. Our quality control standards for these fine, SPECIAL BUY jewelry items are just as high as for our pricier high-end jewelry items, often we just got a better buy on an item than we normally would.
We feature monthly BIRTHSTONE SPECIALS: During any gemstone birthstone month, please take 10% (or more) off the regular price of any item featuring the birthstone gem for that month (unless the item is already on sale), the birthstone sale discount amount is specified each month on the home page of our store. You can email with any reasonable offer for that month's birthstone, even if it's not one of our highlighted Birthstone Specials, and if we can afford to discount the item further for you, we will. You can always ask! WE ANSWER ALL EMAILS.
Our costs: Unlike most jewelers, we do NOT automatically double, triple, or quadruple the price of items we buy. We generally put only a small, reasonable mark-up over what we pay for items we offer, usually just enough to cover our item cost, our eBay listing fees & monthly eBay listing costs, final value selling fees, shipping costs and a VERY small profit. We're not trying to make a killing, just trying to help supplement our living by sharing beautiful, fine genuine gemstone jewelry with others. To find the approximate retail value of any item we sell, multiply our asking price by 3 or 4: that's what you can usually expect to pay retail if you could find the item in the retail world (much of our exotic & rare collectors' gemstone jewelry is unlikely to be found anywhere on any regular market in any store in the retail world, except possibly in small specialty high-end high-cost designer jewelry boutiques).
SINCERE REASONABLE OFFERS: Since our mark-up is so very small, we set a fair asking price which we can afford to take, as our Buy It Now (BIN) price. If you want to offer us less than our BIN asking price, please submit only your reasonable, serious offers. Offering us 1/2 OR 1/4 of our asking price is not reasonable, and such offers WILL be declined. PLEASE DO NOT SEND 'JOKE' OFFERS TO BUY EXPENSIVE OR RARE ITEMS FOR ONLY $50 - A WASTE OF YOUR TIME AND OURS. If there is no 'Make Offer' button on a listing, email us and ask if we would consider your reasonable close offer. We respond to all email.
RISING GOLD PRICES: Gold (and Diamond) prices fluctuate, which affects the cost we must pay for all new items we buy. A very few short years ago gold was only $400 per ounce and less. It rose by over 60% in 2005, was at a 25-year high of $800 per ounce in mid 2006, and finally reached an all time record high of over $1,500 per ounce in April, 2011. It is expected by many jewelry trade experts to continue increasing in price. Our purchasing costs rise as our Vendors increase their prices when gold prices increase. This price increase includes ring mounts, all jewelry settings, and most all pre-made jewelry items. We price items according to what we pay for them, and we don't increase our prices merely to take advantage of today's rising gold and diamond market (which much of the jewelery trade does). Diamond prices have also increased a LOT, which also affects the cost we pay for diamond-accented items. As far as possible we try not to pass too much of those costs along to you.
ALL GENUINE MERCHANDISE: WE DO NOT SELL ANY LAB-CREATED, LAB-GROWN, NON-NATURAL EARTH MINED GEMSTONE SUBSTITUTES, SIMULANTS or any other fake or artificially created stones or gold. Each gemstone we offer is genuine earth mined as Mother Nature made it, as is the gold. We do not sell hollow gold, or gold plated items. We do not sell any CZs or any other type of artificial or simulated Diamond substitutes; all Diamonds and Diamond accents we offer are genuine earth mined (we test all Diamonds with our diamond tester to ensure authenticity). Whenever possible we purchase natural, unheated, untreated gemstones. Some gems are routinely and commonly heat-treated to enhance their color, or routinely oiled (in the case of most all Emeralds) to improve their appearance, which is very common, accepted and even expected in the jewelry industry but we always prefer to find and sell completely natural, totally untreated gems whenever possible. We will disclose other treatments when known (such as the patented diffusion treatment vapor deposited on the surface of most all Mystic Topaz stones).
PHOTOS: We do not use filters or in any way enhance or digitally mess with any of the photos we display. What you see for gemstone color and clarity in the photos for each item is what the item actually looks like, as much as possible. Different computer monitors may vary very slightly in the shade of color you see. Most of the items we sell look MUCH more beautiful in real life than we can possibly convey in our photos. We are not professional photographers. If we've had trouble adequately capturing some element of the item in our photographs (which happens, as jewelry is one of the hardest things to photograph) we say so. Many of our photos are taken with 16 times magnification to show every detail more clearly than even using the standard jewelers loupe with only 10x magnification. We disclose any flaws which we're aware of in any item so that any surprise you may get is a pleasant one!
QUALITY CONTROL: Our quality standards are very high. We offer only the finest, most high-end high quality gemstones, accent stones, and good substantial SOLID GOLD settings we can obtain. We do not sell cheap flimsy settings or thin skimpy hollow or "dipped" or "plated" gold, which you can find elsewhere on plenty of other eBay stores, selling for lower prices than our jewelry. We take pride in offering gemstones with the finest possible color, carat weight, cut, clarity, saturation, finish and settings, and fine quality, weighty, well finished, solid, smoothly polished genuine solid Gold. We also offer the best quality Diamond accent stones we can find. Many, if not most of our White Diamond accent stones are top-gem-grade, near colorless F to G to H color (or better), VS or SI clarity. Our Champagne Diamond gemstones are usually deeply, richly saturated, rather than pale faint slight tinge of color, particularly on the more high-end items. All items we offer are the very highest quality one would expect in fine quality, high-end jewelry, but at much, much, lower than prevailing retail prices (and always lower than the estimated retail value of our items).
CONDITION: All items are new, and unworn, unless specifically otherwise disclosed as Estate jewelry. Items we sell are shipped with the original manufacturer tags whenever possible. We do not EVER re-tag any items.
